We would like to remind all customers that with the milder temperatures, your lawn needs less water to stay healthy. The 2 day-a-week watering schedule for East Orange County Water District began on November 1 and continues through March 31.

Want to take advantage of the winter rainfall? Consider rain barrels!

  • Setting up a rain barrel at home to capture the abundance of rainwater from your roof is an easy way to save money and keep your landscape happy.

  • Water captured in rain barrels can be saved for later in order to water your lawn, garden, or indoor plants.

  • Plants actually prefer rainwater because it is naturally “soft” and free of chemicals!

  • Rain barrels are an effective way to minimizes the amount of water flowing into your storm drains, sewer systems and local waterways.

Check out our rebates on rain barrels and other water saving devices by clicking here.

And remember: turn off your sprinklers and irrigation systems on rainy days!

Keeping our communities clean starts with each of us. Illegal dumping not only harms the environment but also wastes valuable resources that could be better used for local improvements. Let’s all do our part to dispose of waste responsibly and keep our neighborhoods beautiful.
