Brae Glen Pipeline Replacement Project
Construction Schedule:
East Orange County Water District (EOCWD) is preparing to begin a water system improvement project which is anticipated to begin in June 2024. Affected streets will include Brae Glen and ancillary streets (see map). Construction is expected to last approximately two months.
Working hours will be 7:00 am - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and possibly some Saturdays is needed. Inclement weather may necessitate schedule changes.
What to Expect During Construction:

Single lanes of traffic will be required through the construction zones. This will cause delays for some residents. Please plan ahead, leave early and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Open trench excavation of existing pipes.

Pedestrian access will be available.

Scheduled water service interruptions with 72 hour notice to allow for pipeline tie-ins and service reconnects.

Increased traffic.

Noise, dust and vibrations.

Temporary parking restrictions in construction zone.

Access to driveways will remain available.
Prior notice will be provided if access will be restricted.
Project Benefits:

Upsizes pipe from 6" to 12" pipe.

Allows the District to retire (abandon) some old pipelines that are in hard to reach locations (backyard easements).

Replaces 60 year old pipes.

Improves both water flow and pressure for homes near the project area.
